DSO Newsletter - Getting ready for a great year!

Hi DSO Officers!
I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are as excited as I am to have everyone back on campus!
Welcome to the first DSO Newsletter of the year. These newsletters contain important information and updates, so please be sure to read through this email thoroughly. 
More updates are coming soon as we get started with the semester. I will most likely be sending another one of these in early September, or other email communication.

DSO Guidebook

Here is the updated guidebook. There was no major changes, mostly just a bit of changing of wording for clarity. There may be some more changes coming, and I will update you when that happens.

Constitutions

Earlier this summer Evan emailed many presidents about updates for your constitutions. Most of you have returned those back, so thank you for that. We will be reviewing the ones that you emailed back to us soon, but in the meantime, please upload the updated ones to Bark if you have not done so already. If you have not returned the constitution with corrections to us, please do so by September 8th.

Fall Involvement Fair Sign-Ups

I sent an email out to the Presidents and VPs 2 weeks ago about signing up for the involvement fairs. As a reminder Participation from your DSO in both Involvement Fairs is required. If your organization will have an issue with completing this requirement, you must email me by August 15th to discuss.

Trainings

I will be offering different trainings and providing more training materials throughout the semester. The only trainings that are mandatory currently are the President and Treasurer trainings.

President Training

I will be holding 4 sessions of president trainings. It is required that all presidents attend one of the sessions. If you are not able to attend any of these below sessions, you will need to send me an email to let me know by Monday, August 25th, so we can schedule a time that does work for you for the training.

• August 15th 1-2pm (virtual)
• August 21st 4-5pm (in-person)
• August 25th 3-4pm (virtual)
• August 26th 3-4pm (in-person)

Treasurer Training

Treasurer training is asynchronous and completely on Bark. It can be found by going to Bark, going to the left side menu, clicking on My Checklists, and selecting Treasurer Training. All the treasurers should have access to this, but if you do not see it there, please let me know. 
Please have the treasurer training complete by September 2^nd  
 

Bark Officer Training (not required)

If you would like an overview training of being an officer of a Bark group page, weather you are a new officer or would like a refresher, you can sign up for one of the trainings below.
