Fall All DSO Meeting Recap
Hi Everyone! Thank you for having a representative from your DSO attend the All DSO Meeting.
Here is a recap of some things that we went over. Please let me know if you have any questions!
- I will be out of office half of next week and all of the following week.
- My last day is November 6th, and I will be back on November 18th.
- Anything submitted during this time period may not be responded to until I get back.
- If you need to submit upcoming events (that cannot wait until the week of Nov. 18th), It will need to be submitted by the morning of the 6th.
- Leave time for any changes needed as well
- On the note of submitting events
- be sure to add location when submitting events!!! There are instructions in a blue box about this at the top of the event submission page.
- Also check for messages from us for any needed changes or any issue, I believe they come through email.
- Funds from helping with Homecoming are posted on Bark.
- IF your DSO helped with Homecoming, you can now see those funds on Bark.
- There is a new budget section labeled “Other Funds” and they are in there.
- These funds can be used similarly to your fundraising account in terms of what they can be used for - but still need to go through our office to use.
- Group photos for yearbook
- Next semester your DSO will be reached out to about having a photographer come to take a group photo of your group for the yearbook.
- A yearbook photo is required of all DSOs, typically they just submit a photo you have taken yourself, which you can still do if you prefer, but you can also work with the photographer
- Bulldogs Unleashed – Signups (Sign up under organization if your DSO is interested in having a presence at Bulldogs Unleashed on December 5th which is being run by Admissions)
- Bark
- If you do not have the CampusGroups app downloaded yet, I highly recommend, so you have access to Bark on your phone!
- Make sure your Bark pages are updated with your officers, constitution, logos, etc.
- Use the community feed to talk about and promote your DSO!
