Before an internship registration can be submitted, students must speak with your faculty advisor and the Career Center.
- Utilize Career Planning Guide to update your resume. Career Center is happy to provide feedback if you upload to Handshake: My Documents.
- Seek internship experiences that are geared towards your career interest and major.
- Initial Internship Interest – you do not need to research for opportunities alone!
- Meet with your faculty advisor to discuss the internship experiences and whether the opportunity is a great match.
- Schedule an appointment with the Career Development Center
These steps help ensure that your internship aligns with your academic and professional goals and that all necessary documentation is in place before registration is processed. Students are encouraged to begin this process early to allow adequate time for interviewing, meetings, and document submission.
