Hollie Knauss - Professional Staff Employee of the Year
I was born and raised in Bethlehem and began my career with First Valley
Bank on Lehigh University’s campus before moving to Lehigh’s Bursar’s Office, where I worked for 10 years and earned an associate’s degree from Northampton Community College. I then became DeSales University’s first Bursar, serving 23 years before transitioning to Director of Student Billing and Bursar, recently marking 25 years at DeSales. I am the proud mother of two sons—Kyle (Class of 2018) and Kristopher—and daughter-in-law Jess (Class of 2020). I serve on the GLVA Board, volunteer with Relay for Life, and support the East Allen Fire Department.
Elizabeth Swigart ‘89 — Support Staff Employee of the Year
I started at DeSales in April of 2000 part time in the bookstore. I switched 
to a full-time position running the stock room in 2007. I continued in that position until December of 2013 when I moved over to Access Control where I handle University keys and card access. I am a 1989 graduate of the ACCESS program.
