DeSales University is proud to announce that Dr. Lara Goudsouzian, Professor of Biology, has been elected as the President-Elect of the Pennsylvania Academy of Science (PAS).
The PAS is a prestigious organization dedicated to advancing scientific research, education, and collaboration across the Commonwealth through conferences, events, and publications. Dr. Goudsouzian’s appointment recognizes her long-standing commitment to academic excellence, education, innovative research, and dedicated mentorship within the biological sciences.
“I am honored to serve the scientific community of Pennsylvania in this capacity,” said Dr. Goudsouzian. “I look forward to furthering the Academy’s mission of promoting scientific inquiry and connecting researchers across our state.”
Dr. Goudsouzian’s leadership role will begin immediately, followed by her term as President beginning in 2028. Her election underscores DeSales University’s commitment to fostering impactful leaders in higher education and the scientific community.
