BSU Y2K Party

Come and join BSU at the Y2K Party. All are welcome and we hope to see you dressed up. Best Dressed wins a prize at the end of the night. There will be food, music, games, and raffles. So show up and show out!

Black culture from the 90’s bled into the early 2000s and was a predominant
influence of the era. From fashion to music to TV. The most notable brands
are Baby Phat, Juicy Couture, FUBU, and Rocawear. One of the most notable
producers/artists of the time, Timbaland, who has produced so much of the
music in the early 2000s. BSU wishes to be able to have an event that
celebrates the influence that Black culture had on the time period. Although
the food won’t reflect the time period, we hope that the best dressed contest
and the dance battle are activities that will reflect some of the fashion and
media of the time. We’ll also have other activities for participating students to
enjoy along with music played by the DJ. We hope to have students come
dressed in fashion from the time period or even like celebrities during that
era.
